CORPORATE

The corporate video has come a long way.  IÕve done hundreds of these types of videos with budgets from $1,000 to $100,000.  The challenge is always the same, getting people to watch.  For the most part I did what I could with what ever I had at the time to make these pieces stand out.

The following videos where created between 1999 and 2005.

AMTRAK - I worked on this video for McCarthy Marcus and Hennings, an ad agency in the Washington D.C. metro area. I did all the editing.

Anystream Demo – I was contracted as the director/producer/editor/graphics person for this piece.  So I pretty much did everything on this one.  ItÕs really only interesting to watch if youÕd like to learn how to use an Anystream system, a few years ago.

Anystream Edge – This piece was a first for me for a few things.  It was the first time I did audio sweetening and it was the first time I editing something for mBlaze multimedia.  I used an old power mac 9500 for this bad boy.  This one dates me a bit.

Anystream Teaser – What do you get for about $5k.  This is pretty much it.  I shot some of this one.  We had some existing interviews.  We used a really up and coming technique, at the time, to make the screens look like streaming video.  We basically pumped our avid with the output of a monitor on another computer.  The web players were still on the screen so we cut a matte in Photoshop and floated the various players as you see using AvidÕs amazing 3D DVE.  That was sarcastic. I believe this video played at that little event in Nevada, one April in the past.

Budget Office Bit1, Budget Office Bit2, Budget Office Bit3, Budget Office Bit4, - I shot these with the Sony PD100, offlined them on and Xpress Pro and finished them on the DS Nitris.  My wife asked me to help her put these four bits together.  They were used in a meeting held for the U.S. Budget Office.  If they donÕt make sense to you thatÕs because only the people who worked at the Budget Office know why they are funny.

Cadence/Actel, Cadence/Azanda, Cadence/LSI – Armed with a PD100 and an ARRI D4 light kit, I toured the country, or just the Silicon Valley, to produce/shoot/edit these  fun little web videos.  They are as interesting as they sound.  With a loop groove made by my client Ed Jose, I edited these little guys together like there was no tomorrow.

CHCI – This video was presented at some convention.  I should know what it was, but it was one of those deals where the client wasnÕt there and I just edited the piece together and they thanked me at another time.  ItÕs shot really well and has an edgy style to it.  ItÕs not just another corporate video. And yet it is!

CHCI Elements – At the convention I mentioned above there were about five roll in videos I edited from basically nothing.  In other words there was no script, no graphics, and no idea as to how they would work.  O.k. they had a little idea, I ended up sort of producing/editing these.  The actual producer was very happy.

Excara – Even though this company no longer exists, I keep them alive with this little ditty.  I composed the music for this piece.

III 2004I produced, edited, and did the graphics on this end of year video for the Insurance Information Institute.  My favorite part is the mass wall of floating monitors.

IPPF – I put this piece together with the help of a few Porter Novelli producers.  They said do this and I did it

ISTEA – At this point donÕt even ask me what ISTEA stands for.  All I know is I produced/edited/animated this thing.  I know they have something to do with transportation.

Navair Video – Corporate Navy Video.  ThatÕs all I have to say about that.  I produced, edited, and did the graphics all on the DS Nitris.

Ocean Systems – Ever heard of the guys who drop perfectly good editing systems out of airplanes.  Well these dudes make those flying edit rooms.  Again, not the most interesting subject matter, but every corporation should have there very own video, even if they only have a few clams to get-er-done.  These guys are great at what they do, so I decided, at the time IÕd giveÕm a one man band deal of a lifetime.  I shot/edited/produced/directed/wrote/graphicized this one.

Port of Baltimore-1, POB-2 – IÕm told this piece still plays down on the dock in some make shift touch screen monitor on the Port of Baltimore.  They really should update that thing.  For the time it was really cool, cutting edge, shakadelic!  Now itÕs just another piece I edited and composed the music for.

Trilligent – The cluster buster!  Very cool techy thing, I have no idea what it did or does.  I know Avid made it.  I know it sounds like it does something really cool really fast and good.  I did the audio mix in Digital Performer for this 60 sec ad.

Xpress – Before Anystream there was Avid Xpress.  I edited and co-produced this video for Avid.  I have a confession to make.  I even played the part of the editor.  It was a stretch.
